Our Mission Our mission is to promote and support the protection and the conservation of the Amazon Rainforest
Facts - Although the Amazon rainforest has hardly been explored, 16,700km2 was lost due to deforestation in 2005/06.
- If man continues this rate of destruction by the year 2020 the largest rainforest in the world will be gone.The rainforest is the source of much of the world’s prescribed medicines and a massive heat sink that drives global weather patterns.
- The impact of its loss will significantly disrupt nature’s delicate balance and in terms of the impact on biodiversity - insects, plants, trees and animals will be destroyed before ever being discovered and named.
